She bemoans the negative effects of cable news networks’ partisan histrionics, how politicians and pundits manipulate media to their advantage, and how new technologies and financial pressures are forcing much of journalism today to become solely entertainment driven, at the expense of a less-informed citizenry. Of course, none of this is new, but is it just getting worse? And how much worse could it get?
